Seven Edits Weekly

Your Streamline Era: The Week of April 15th, 2024

Your Weekly Seven

Hey, you!

It’s been a minute ~ apologies! Life, amIright? Luckily, time is a construct, so we’ll all pretend you’ve missed nothing.

This is your sign to take a few steps back from all the noise, breathe, and prioritize. Here are your top seven life edits for the week ~ one to tackle each day ~ so you’ll waste less time scrolling and more time L-I-V-I-N.

  • MONDAY BLUES: Mo Money, Less Problems

It’s literally TAX DAY (yay?) so if you’re one of those last-minute filers (*raises hand*), here are a few tips to get you up to speed — legally🤞🏽

  • TUESDAY, YOUSDAY: Do You, Baby

Mental Health Awareness Month isn’t until May, but it’s always a good time to raise money for organizations doing their best to erase the stigma. Sign up for TWLOHA’s virtual Move For It 5K like I did and run/walk for a great cause.

  • LOVESICK WEDNESDAY: See? Romance Isn’t Dead (Yet)

Stumped on a midweek date night idea? Pre-plan and order a chef-created meal for two from GoldBelly, pair it with a nice bottle of wine (or beer!), and use this Spotify playlist for a romantic evening in (even with kids around).

  • TAKE ACTION THURSDAY: Just Do It Already

I don’t want to speak too soon, but it’s probably time to push those pants and sweats to the back of the closet and move up shorts, skirts, and lightweight clothing. This is your ONE must-do chore for the week! Sorry, winter, but spring is here. Adios!

  • FRIDAY FEAST: No Complaints Dinner Picky Eaters Will Love

I’m trying this creative take on a classic this week: The Grill Dads’ version of Tomato Soup + Grilled Cheese, which uses garlic bread, chips, and mayo for the ultimate tastebud treat. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

  • SATURDAZE: Do Something Fun, Would Ya?

By now, Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated Tortured Poets Department is out. Listen to it, decipher it, and let it determine your mood for the day. Because let’s be real — no one writes revenge/angst/extremely detailed yet vague lyrics like T.

  • SUNDAY WISDOM: The Experts Says…

This week’s TLDR motivation: Thanks to my time as Editor at The Dodo, I’m often bombarded with emails about different animal rescue organizations.

This week’s inspiration comes from SARA Sanctuary (Society for Animal Rescue and Adoption) who took in two momma dogs recently. One of which, Lupine, had eight puppies and then was abandoned. She had her leg amputated soon after.

Another, Dalia, gave birth to 15 puppies and 13 survived. These are just a couple of the animals taken in and found loving homes for. Support SARA here.

Our slogan has always been ‘Unconditional Life’ and by that, we mean that SARA seeks to save as many animals as possible regardless of species, special health needs, or temperament.
